I spent Friday and Saturday in traffic (thank-you greater Toronto area) and in Trenton, ON at the very well-appointed Sli Fy Chapel studio. The project, with my longtime colleague Brent Bodrug engineering, was to finish off the second volume of my music-for-dance CD/digital series, MOVE.

I had the drum/percussion beds done, so my tasks this session were to overdub keyboard parts and extra percussion. I spent 3 hours Friday night recording tracks with BB’s vintage Wurlitzer electric piano and then 3 hours  Saturday doing hand percussion, Hadjira, and drumkit overdubs.

I think one more session to finish up some bass parts and we’re ready to mix. I’m hoping for an October release to Itunes, et. al. with CDs available a bit earlier direct from me.

The completion of this project has been delayed more times than I care to mention, it feels good to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
